On 10 March 2017, the Fedorov Eye Microsurgery Complex, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, and OPTEC signed a trilateral cooperation agreement. The agreement was signed by Professor Alexander Chukhrayov, General Director of the Eye Microsurgery Complex, Michael Hubensack, Vice President Sales Distribution Partners EMEA and LATAM at Carl Zeiss Meditec, and Olga Seredkina, OPTEC General Manager.
By this agreement, the parties confirm their commitment to cooperation and technology partnership in the area of diagnostics and innovative methods for cataract and corneal surgery. As part of the agreement, a joint reference center will be established for fundus pathology diagnostics, the use of ZEISS intraocular multifocal and toric lenses, and the application of the ZEISS Rescan 700 solution in anterior and posterior eye segment surgery.

The agreement also provides for joint training and professional development of ophthalmologists at the premises of the Eye Microsurgery Complex, joint events, visits of key scientists from Eye Microsurgery to foreign research centers where ZEISS equipment is used, and other initiatives for sharing knowledge and experience. The parties to the agreement emphasize the importance of advanced technology introduced in the everyday ophthalmological practice.
